“Being a single mother turned out to be way harder than I ever imagined. At times, it felt like I was standing at the foot of a giant mountain with the peak impossible to be seen. After my father passed away, I immediately became the earner for the family. Never really had the time to blame life for how unfair it has been to me. So even now, making it through long hours to raise my son all by myself has been less of ‘I have to do this’ and more of ‘I am going to do this’. So I started the climb, making it all the way from a Sales Executive to an ASM. Being the only woman in the ASM department takes its toll on me. With 8 stores in my care, I have to spend most of my day on the road, going from store to store, making sure everything is running smoothly. But what keeps me going is the thought that when the day ends and I go back home, I will get to see my son and realise how great the view from the top is.”
